Developing Responsibility is a short film from 1949 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

TELLS STORY OF HOW FRANK ASSUMES HIS EVERYDAY RESPONSIBILITIES AT HOME, AT SCHOOL, & ON HIS PAPER ROUTE, & IS REWARDED BY BEING GIVEN A PEDIGREED DOG BY A MAN ON HIS PAPER ROUTE WHO HAS OBSERVED HIS ACCEPTANCE OF RESPONSIBILITY.

Frank Harris is a hard-working kid with a paper route that he diligently maintains. He is given a dog, Pal, by Mr. Morgan, one of the customers on his route. For one week with the new dog he must prove to his parents that he can maintain his responsibilities in order to be able to keep Pal.
