School House in the Red is a short film from ca. 1945 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

A small town decides that it's best to abandon direct control over its children's education in favor of centralized school districting (i.e., abandoning it's little schoolhouse for a large one full of goodies down the road). Directed and filmed by people with socialist leanings; lots of CUs of faces and many quiet, reflective moments.
