MS-3 is a short film from ca. 1959 - 1960 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

Marketing plan of Tidewater Oil Company and duPont for 1960.

"Power is the key note of today's car. . .Power for when it is needed" vs. the threat of "power clog", which happens from cars idling instead of operating at full speed. DuPont's MS-3 prevents against "power clog" and as " a polyfunctional product, it0643 is primarily a metal suppressor, hence the designation MS". Explains the improvements being made in gasolines by conducting scientific experiments that demonstrate the difference between dirty gasoline and clean gasoline. The film opens with an amazing shot of a refinery on the water and shots of cars on the highway with the camera at diagonal angles. Shots of engines, including illustrations, refineries and gas stations, (The Flying A gasolines and service stations), scientist performing laboratory experiments, cars driving on snowy roads, and high-speed sequence of gas station attendants servicing an automobile.

Great color. Filmed mostly in and around Los Angeles, California, with excellent shots of traffic jams on the Los Angeles freeways (L.A. freeways). Also shots of cars with tailfins.
