00:19:11:00 to 00:20:53:07 - superb segment of Southern blacks picking cotton (works perfectly for "slaves picking cotton"); MCU of faces, very sharp visual quality, beautifully composed. Blacks moving cotton bales on handcarts. Ends with black vocal quartet (3 men, 1 woman) singing old spiritual "Keep In the Middle of the Road".
