What Makes a Battle? is a short film from 1944 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

Pictures the battle of the Marshall Islands as a piece of master strategy. Explains that forces of land, sea and air united blows that resulted in success and each success resulted in another battle. Points out that out of 10,000 Japanese only 264 surrendered. Uses animation to explain strategy.
