Shows how one's behavior is largely influenced by his conscience -- the accumulation of restraints and sanctions which the individual learns as he grows from childhood to maturity through association with the social group. Explains that the child is taught moral norms by his social group through speech, force, punishment, exclusion, or ridicule.
