Great simulated accident: boy runs into street and is hit by car. Dick wakes up in hospital after operation and dreams he is speaking with "Good Judgment" and "Bad Impulse," two boys who represent Dick's good and bad sides. Shoulder angel/demon trope.
Film is an example of pervasive efforts to divert responsibility for epidemic of violent car collisions. This film fully shifts the blame to the child struck by the vehicle, shaming the child for being in a public road while implying that drivers in public spaces are unable and not expected to control their vehicles.
