Diesel Story, The is a short film from 1952 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

The history of the Diesel engine, from the Pre-Dioesel engines of the late 1800s (Hot Bulb, Steam, Gas and Gasoline) to Rudolph Diesel and recreated 1890s experiments with the new Diesel Engine. Various diagrams of the Diesel Engine principle (of early and later desing) are shown, as well as major developments in the Diesel Engine (such as Airless Injection of the 1920s). "Modern" uses of the Diesel engine (ca 1950) are then shown (such as ships, Greyhound Bus, tractors, etc.).
