Farmer Miller Goes Into High Gear is a short film from ca. 1920s released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

A farmer is convinced that his tractor will do more and better if it rolls on Goodyear tires rather than steel wheels. Includes scenes of tractor tire manufacturing.

Silent film with liberal amount of title cards, all bearing Goodyear corporate logo. Part I:

TC: "Jim Miller, owner of Sunnydale Farms, is hard-headed, but he's keen for more profits, lower costs, more comfort and leisure." MCU man milks cow. (Jim Miller lives in Connellsville, Pennsylvania.) MCU man at desk writing letter; there is a portrait of a man on the desk. LS Bill Allen (editor of the journal Better Farming, with offices in the state of Iowa) seated at his desk. He calls his secretary over to dictate a letter. MS he dictates to her. ECU typewriter platen (cylinder) with paper; we see the keys typing letters on paper (good). This shot will recur throughout the film.
