Immunization (Second edition) is a short film from 1955 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

Explains what immunization is and how it is built up either by having a disease or by being inoculated with vaccine. Shows how smallpox vaccine is produced and used, how diphtheria toxins are treated to produce toxoids, and the type of program of treatment necessary to produce lasting immunity. Credits the scientists and commercial laboratories for their work in developing vaccines. This film shows the process of testing vaccinations on animals and through animation simulations of microscopic activities explains how vaccinations build up antibodies to a variety of germs and diseases.
