Janet and the Genie is a short film from 1967 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

Follows a field trip of a high school home economics student through meat packing, poultry processing, apple packing, egg grading and dairy plants. Includes shopping tips from the Consumer and Marketing Service of the Department of Agriculture.

Some really campy moments. A woman goes to get groceries for her mother. A genie appears and teaches Janet all about USDA grading. The genie then transports her into a room full of calf livers. The genie tells us all about meat and poultry grading. We then talk about apple grading.
