Larynx and the Voice (Function of the Normal Larynx) is a short film from 1958 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

Uses high-speed photography to show how the larynx and vocal cords function. Points out the differences in the larynx of males and females. Also shows the variations in movements of the vocal cords which produce high-, medium-, and low-pitch tones.

Many instances of unintended and reoccurring erotic overtones.

While you may not recognize it in isolation, all of us produce this type of sound frequently to initiate a vowel. Singers have termed it cul de grat.
