We, The People (Willkie & McNary Know Their Farming) is a short film from 1940 released on 16mm. It is held in the Prelinger Archives collection.

 19:34:58- 19:35:25

Interesting image of a politician (Wendell A. Willkie) in suit and tie walking along rows of corn with a farmer (in a straw hat). He stops at a stalk and rips a piece of corn, husks it, and then scrutinizes it. His facial expressions are bizarre. The Republican politician looks out of place in this landscape.

19:36:01- 19:36:20 A horse-drawn plow moves by the camera. A farmer in overalls and a straw hat leads the horses, and hitched behind him is a small wheel barrow in which a little girl in overalls sits with her small dog sitting on her lap.

19:37:54- 19:38:03 Willkie wanders awkwardly around the cattle's yardhe attempts to pet one of them. He looks like a fish out of water.

19:38:30- 19:38:38 Nice image of an older woman feeding chickens in a nicely kept poultry yard. She wears a white hat and apron, and the chickens are white. Women are often seen tending to the chicken.

 19:39:13- 19:39:44

Two little boys in caps each lead a large beef cattle into the yard. Behind them are well kept fields. Cut to a close up of the boys who pat their cows on the nose and look stoically at the camera. They are clearly the caretakers of these cows. 4-H Club.
